My story
For many years I have enjoyed cooking and sharing my goodness with family and friends. In early 2020, a few friends sampled my chutney and told me that the flavour had the perfect balance of sweet, sour and heat and it took them back to Northern India. It was at that moment that I realised my chutney was different to most chutney for sale and I decided I wanted to share it with more than family and friends. With the flavour sorted, I fine-tuned my recipe and processes to enable me to commercialise my goodness. I have managed to produce a high quality chutney and a spice mix without adding any nasties, and, where possible, I am using Australian ingredients. This is just the start of my journey and I am in the process of experimenting with more flavours to add to my product collection. I hope you enjoy my chutney and I am looking forward to sharing more goodness with you soon.

What's important to me?
Continue to learn and grow – there is so much to learn, so why stop? I love to learn both as an individual and as a business to help me continually improve and grow.

Don’t forget to smell the roses – what is success? For me, it’s the little things. I feel so proud of my tiny business, and I celebrate and enjoy the small events during my journey.

Care for all (our customers, community and our environment) – caring for others is something that has always been close to my heart! I care about the quality I create for you, I care about helping my community, and I try to minimise the negative impact to our environment.

Quality in everything I do - I created a high quality chutney, focusing on avoiding unnatural preservatives. I refuse to compromise on quality. I mix my own spice, grinding it from whole spices, adding a richer and more complex flavour.

Supporting all things Australian – The COVID-19 pandemic has really highlighted to me the importance of supporting Australian. It helps keep each other employed, and keeps our money here! Where possible I use ingredients and products produced in Australia.

Alison’s Goodness is an Australian-owned and operated business - the chutney and spice mix are both handmade in Melbourne. The ingredients, where possible, are produced in Australia. The products are all of high quality – I am determined not to compromise on flavour or quality, and as such, make the spice mix from scratch instead of buying it pre-made from overseas. There are no nasties in my products! All products can be delivered anywhere in Australia.
